FRESH START YOGA & WRITING RETREAT

Let’s start 2025 off with a fresh start, positive outlook, and solid plans for a great year!

Get in touch with where you want to go, what you want to do, and who you want to be moving into 2025. We will be practicing yoga, visualizing, journaling, and hanging out with friends for a focused weekend of positive planning for the future.

We will make time to deeply consider what you want 2025 to be. What does your ideal future look like? How does it differ from your life now? What steps must you take to get to your ideal? Through journaling, visualizations, intention-setting,  meditation, and practices that build a foundation for intentional, lasting change,  we will create new neural pathways in the brain that will pave the way for the ideal future you envision.

This retreat will allow time to consider, practice, and start to empower the future you want to create. And, you’ll be among friends in good company. Grab your favorite pen, journal, and yoga mat, we’ve got some good work to do together!

C. Jane Taylor, ERYT-200

Jane is the author of the book  “Spirit Traffic” and a weekly story on Substack entitled “Sunday Love Letter,” speaker, workshop leader and certified yoga teacher. She will be leading the writing and visualization aspects of the retreat.

John McConnell, ERYT-500
John is the founding director of Yoga Teacher Training at UVM, and has lead numerous international yoga retreats in the Virgin Islands, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and Canada. John will lead light-hearted, spirited yoga practices to get you connected to your positive, best self.

Schedule

Friday Night:
4-6pm Arrive and check-in
5:30-6:30pm Dinner
7-8pm Yoga

Saturday:
7:30-8:30am Breakfast
9-noon Yoga/Writing (with coffee break and snacks)
Noon-3pm Lunch & Free Time
3-5pm Yoga/Writing

Sunday Morning:
7:30-8:30am Breakfast
9-noon Yoga/Writing (with coffee break and snacks)
Noon-12:30 Pack up room
12:30-3pm Lunch & Free Time
3pm-5pm Extra Free Time (optional to stay and use the grounds of Jouvence until dinner)

Lodging

You will be staying in the adorable Masionette cabins. The cabins are perfect for a winter get away experience, and arranged close by each other, so the retreat attendees will be in a feeling like a small village.

Location & Activities 

Located near Magog, Quebec on a 194-acre site on the shores of Lake Stukely in Mont-Orford National Park, Jouvence is a great place to take time to look forward into the future.  With lots of outdoor activities, wonderful food, friends, writing opportunites, and yoga classes, this is a wonderful way to be celebrate life. During this retreat there will be plenty of time to enjoy to beautiful surroundings and experience many of the outdoor offerings available:

Sitting around the campfire, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, winter bicycling. Plus, outdoor spa and sauna (available for reservation).

Meals

Six meals will be provided buffet style over the time of the retreat.  Jouvence has a large dining area with options for eating inside or eating outside near the lake. There will be a dinner on Friday night, 3 meals on Saturday, and breakfast and lunch on Sunday. Jouvence will work with you on any needed accomodations.

Getting There

 Jouvence in located in Oxford, Quebec.  With Jouvence being less than 2 1/2 hours from Burlington, Vermont, and around 1 1/2 hours from Montreal, This is a wonderful opportunity to have a real get away, but without the high cost of transportation to get in your way.
