I am asking for a financial contribution from you to help out some of those Vermonters effected by the devastation of Hurricane Irene.   I’ve never actually been witness to a true natural disaster before, and  was in awe of the incredible power of nature, and also the devastation that can come from it.  Personally, I helped out in a small way after the hurricane by volunteering to do some cleanup.  But, you know, other things come up, we move on with our lives — sadly, the need for help continues.

So, with that, I am happy to have been invited to teach as part of Vinyasa for Vermont.  This will be a yoga class to be held at the UVM Davis Center on Sunday, December 11th from 9-11am.  All the proceeds from the class will go to Hurricane Relief supporting two different organizations – The Intervale Farm Recovery Fund and the Vermont Disaster Relief Fund.  This is a wonderful way we can all come together as a yoga community, enjoy each others company, practice, and help those in need.
