Something that inspires me as the Director of the Yoga Teacher Training program at UVM over the last 5 years is following what the students do after the training is done. I feel so lucky to get to meet these amazing people and then see them go head out into the world and make their mark.  Their willingness to change their surroundings and open themselves to new experiences is a real inspiration for me.

Being around that kind of energy and exposed to this sense of perpetual moving forward is infectious – I can’t help but look at my own life and consider what I’m doing and where I’m going, and to open myself up to the possibilities of change. It’s exciting to think about, and at the same time feels less possible the further along I get in life.  But, I still see that value and excitement in it.

With that, I’ve decided to make a change with my yoga teaching.

Starting September 1st I will move forward to new frontiers, and all my studio teaching in Burlington will be at Sangha Yoga and I will no longer be teaching at Evolution. Sangha is a wonderful studio and I feel very lucky to have been given the opportunity to teach there.  I already teach some classes at Sangha, and will make the full transition starting on September 1st.

I have been teaching a Evolution Yoga for 7 years, and it’s been a great experience for me. I’m definitely thankful to the whole family at Evolution, from the students to the staff to the other teachers – everyone has been great!  I’m particularly indebted to Susan Cline (who now owns Evolution Prenatal and Family Yoga Center), along with Janet Carcasscaden, the owner of Evolution Yoga.  They are great people and supported me in everything and anything I wanted to do at Evolution when I first started there. Without them I’m not sure if I’d even be a yoga teacher at this point, so I’m very grateful.

I’m excited to keep myself and my teaching moving forward.  I’m so thankful to all the students who has been part of my classes at Evolution over the years. I really hope you’ll continue to come to my classes at Sangha, as well as drop by to visit me on my last few classes at Evolution.  Here’s what we have coming up…
