I recently returned to my home town of Laramie, Wyoming for a family reunion. It’s always great to go back there. I recognized one of the things I love about it is that Laramie doesn’t change very much. There is change. There are some new buildings, new restaurants (my cousin has a great Veggie Restaurant there called Sweet Melissa’s), new bars (she also a bar!).  But, underneath that somewhat superficial change there is really no change at all. It still feels exactly like how Laramie has always felt.

This got me thinking about the concept of our never changing True Self. It’s the same kind of deal. Externally we might look different from year to year, change clothes, have different stuff, but underneath all that we are still the same person we have always been and always will be — inside there is still the True Self that doesn’t change. And that True Self is full of goodness, happiness, humor, celebration — it’s the Self you are when everything is going your way and you feel full and complete. That self never leaves, it just is covered sometimes and maybe even seems to be gone…but, it’s always there, ever present, waiting for your return Home.

So, I put together a video with that idea in mind. I hope you like. Let me know. John
